Environmental issues are a major concern for the younger generation, especially the climate crisis, which affects daily life, including food. However, many teenagers in Indonesia are unaware that the food system also contributes to the climate crisis due to its high land and water usage, as well as the large amounts of greenhouse gases it produces. Therefore, it is important to introduce sustainable urban farming on limited land. One environmentally friendly urban farming alternative that is suitable for beginners is microgreens. Unfortunately, microgreens are not yet widely known in Indonesia.To address this, the author designed a game about microgreens for urban teenagers using Tracy Fullerton’s game design method. Based on playtesting, the game helps increase understanding of microgreens.
