Benyamin Sueb was a musician, actor, and comedian from Jakarta (DKI Jakarta). As a multitalented artist, his works were always expressed in a uniquely personal and distinctive style. In music, he boldly blended various genres with humor and Betawi sensibilities. The themes of his songs often reflected the everyday life and struggles of Jakarta’s native residents. Through his lyrics, Benyamin told stories about daily life and the social issues faced by his community. Benyamin Sueb played a vital role in the development of Indonesian art and culture. His body of work remains a valuable cultural heritage, especially in preserving Betawi traditions and shaping Indonesia’s pop culture. However, many of his works are at risk of being forgotten due to poor archival management. This book design project aims to preserve and celebrate the legacy of Benyamin Sueb, ensuring that his cultural contributions remain relevant and appreciated across generations.
