Q: What are the steps of the application process for new students?
A: You may want to visit UMN’s admission webpage (link https://www.umn.ac.id/en/admission/ ). Don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Admission Staff (link email [email protected] ) for further information and contact our Marketing Staff (link [email protected] ) for registration.
Q: What is the International Class admission for new International students?

Q: How to get education counseling?
A: You may want to get in touch with our Education Counselors (link https://www.umn.ac.id/education-counselor/ ), all available online.
Q: How many hours do I need to work?
A: Internship minimum duration of 640 hours
(after deducting 1 hour of break every day, red dates, and other holidays).
Q: Is there lists of Job Vacancies that UMN provided?

Register for Internship
Q: I was accepted for an internship 1 month before KRS, what date should I write?
A: Write the date you were accepted for the internship.
Q: My supervisor forgot their password (or can’t log in), what should I do?
A: Send an email to [email protected] then wait 1 working day to reset the password.
Q: The acceptance letter hasn’t been issued yet/has just come out, what should I do?
A: Just start the internship first. Once the letter comes out, input the date from the date it was received.
Q: I filled in the information incorrectly, can I revise it?
A: Please complete the registration, then inform [email protected] regarding the data replacement in the complete registration.
Q: When I want to register my company in merdeka.umn, why can’t my company be found?
A: Set the form preference to “Others”.
Internship Implementation
Q: After totaling the hours, it has not reached 640 hours until Evaluation 2, what’s the solution?
A: Overtime, 1 day contains more than 8 hours (overtime limit 12 hours).
Q: My supervisor can’t log in to Merdeka, what’s the solution?
A: Report to [email protected] to reset the supervisor account (wait 1 x 24 hours).
Q: What is the title of the report?
A: Use the best project design for your Internship report title.
Q: What should I write in chapter 3 of the report?
A: Write about your work process & design process.
Q: What is the counseling procedure with the internship advisor?
A: You can make an appointment according to the availability of the advisor in question.
Q: I didn’t get a total of 5 projects, what’s the solution?
A: Please sort the projects, so 1 project is split into 2/3.
Q: What is the internship counseling like?
A: Guidance 8 times.
• Make sure the student inputs the counseling hours at merdeka.umn.ac.id.
• Counseling includes report quality (template, formatting, content) & internship constraints.
• Check the “Daily Task”

Post-Thesis Defense
Q: How do I change the report title after the thesis defense?
A: Change it from merdeka.umn.ac.id then ask for your advisor’s approval.
Q: How do I obtain the lecturer’s signatures?
A: Head to building D level 18, then put your validation sheet in the provided place.
Q: Can I just take a picture of the validation sheet?
A: The ‘Validation Sheet’ must be scanned.
Q: When should I submit the internship report in merdeka.umn.ac.id?
A: Submit the report in 1 week (7×24 hours) after the thesis defense, the signatures of the supervisor, examiner and head of study program must be obtained.
Q: Can you recommend any accommodation?
A: UMN Dormitory (link https://www.umn.ac.id/dormitory/ ) must be suitable for you who come from out of town! We provide supporting facilities that can undoubtedly make you feel more comfortable and productive!
Q: How do I book the Faculty of Arts & Design Laboratory?
A: You may visit our Laboratory Facilities page (link page Lab FSD). Please read the rules and procedures carefully to expedite the booking process. You may visit the Laboratory Staff Office at B level 6, across from the Cinema Room for further information.
Q: How do I borrow Photography Laboratory tools and equipment (camera, tripod, etc.)?
A: Please visit gapura.umn.ac.id. Log in and choose the Asset Management menu.
