Description:

Young women aged 15 to 24 have typically experienced puberty and menstruation, making it essential to maintain reproductive health. One of the most common clinical symptoms is dysmenorrhea, or painful menstruation. Research by the author reveals that menstrual pain should not be taken lightly, as it can be a sign of a serious condition called Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a disease that can progress if left untreated, potentially leading to infertility and a decreased quality of life. It affects 1 in 10 women worldwide, primarily during their reproductive years, with symptoms varying from person to person. According to a questionnaire conducted by the author, 82.3% of adolescent respondents underestimate their symptoms and do not seek medical examination for their menstrual issues. Delays in seeking healthcare can negatively impact the progression of endometriosis. To address this issue, the author plans to develop an application that provides information about menstrual disorder symptoms related to endometriosis and raises awareness about the importance of reproductive health. The app will encourage young women to perform self-checks and seek consultation with gynecologists or specialists in obstetrics.
